Televised public debate on the topic ‘‘Hard Choices or no Choices at all – Questions for Uganda’s Political Parties’’
The Uganda Youth Network (www.uyonet.or.ug) together with the Great Lakes Institute for Strategic Studies (www.gliss.org) and NTV Uganda (www.ntvuganda.co.ug) have organised a live televised public debate on the topic ‘‘Hard Choices or no Choices at all – Questions for Uganda’s Political Parties’’ scheduled to take place on Monday March 16, 2015 at the Serena Conference Center, Victoria Hall. starting at 2 pm. The debate will be live on NTV and syndicated across selected radio stations across the country.
The debate is organized under the auspices of the ‘Situation Room Uganda’ an initiative intended to provide a structured and regular policy oriented and citizen led public debate programme on contemporary issues in Uganda. The initiative seeks to ensure improvements in the quality of public discussions associated with elections, increase the reach of the media to a broader constituency of voters and policy makers, and strengthen the demand side of governance.
