IGG Launches Assessment Report on JLOS Anti-Corruption Strategy Implementation
On 17th April 2019, the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Hon. Justice Irene Mulyangonja presided over the launch of a report on assessment of the implementation of the JLOS Anti-Corruption Strategy (JACS) 2012, at Hotel Africana, in Kampala.
The report is an outcome of an assessment research commissioned by the Legal Aid Service Providers Network (LASPNET) in December 2018, with funding from DGF, to examine the status of implementation of the JACS by three JLOS institutions: the Judiciary, Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, and the Uganda Police Force. It assesses progress of implementation, challenges encountered as well as opportunities and possible areas of intervention for effective implementation of anti-corruption activities, from a civil society perspective.
