Understanding Social Norms: A Reference Guide for Policy and Practice

The reference guide is a product of the Corruption, Justice and Legitimacy Project at the Henry J. Leir Institute within the Fletcher School at Tufts University. This reference guide is a comprehensive exploration of the role social norms play in endemic corruption in fragile states. This resource provides the following:

  1. Practical guidance on what social norms are
  2. An explanation on why social norms should matter to anyone working to diminish corruption in fragile and conflict-affected states
  3. A description of how social norms influence corruption

The lead researchers of this reference guide are Cheyanne Scharbatke-Church and Diana Chigas.
