Centre for Women in Governance (CEWIGO)
The Centre for Women in Governance (CEWIGO) is a nonpartisan, not for profit, and non-governmental organization established in 2006 in Uganda, committed to the promotion of effective and equal participation of women and men in all spheres and at all levels of decision making.
Project title: Strengthening the capacity of women leaders in eight districts to effectively participate in decision making processes.
Project description: The project seeks to strengthen the capacity of women in political leadership at village, sub county and district levels to effectively participate in decision making processes at all levels in 8 districts. The project will contribute to the realisation of improved representation and recognition of women in leading political positions and decision making local structures.
Geographical coverage: Buhweju, Mbarara, Buliisa, Hoima, Masindi, Kwen, Bukwo, and Kapchorwa districts.
