Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF) is an independent and inclusive national platform for NGOs in Uganda that was formed in 2007 and incorporated in 2000. A membership organisation with 615 members to date, UNNGOF seeks to provide a sharing and reflection platform for NGOs to influence governance and development processes in Uganda, and enhance their operating environment. UNNGOF’s work is premised on the idea that building a strong and engaged citizenry in Uganda entails building responsive and relevant citizen organizations that can work as interlocutors of knowledge and information to inform citizens about their obligations, rights and responsibilities. UNNGOF does this through work in two intervention areas; Civil Society Strengthening and Influencing Development Policies and Practices.
